Got up at 09.00. Today is counting day of Kerala Assembly Elections 2026. So, all the Malayalam news channels were hyper active right from the morning. Ate breakfast, bathed, got dressed and was ready to leave to office by 10.00. Once reaching office, it was a bit different since everyone was busy watching the election results in the meeting room. I joined them for a while. UDF was having a majority lead that too at my constituency too. That’s fine since LDF governed for a decade now and Kerala needed a change in power. UDF is going to be back in power after ten years and let’s hope they will do a better job this time.
I felt a bit disturbed in the afternoon. I am slowly starting to hate the things that I do at my company. The way it is disrespectful towards my efforts and hard work. I don’t feel like working sometimes, I just walked around the room and mingle around with my co-workers all day. I try my level best to consolidate myself, to wait, to put in efforts again, but my mind is working against me and I don’t know what to do about it.
The current project that I do, does not seem to be fruitful either. It’s lost direction and is moving in the direction the wind blows. If you do something and it does not bring some form of growth or learnings to me, I lose interest in it shortly and stop putting in efforts towards the same. The same is happening here and I feel hopeless. I had a discussion with one of my co-workers and she also felt the same. Hopeless and tired with stagnated growth.
I and my co-workers had a long chit-chat on the election results at the cafeteria. At around 08.30, I left for home. On reaching home, I felt sad and scrolled through the Instagram reels to clear my mind. I did laugh a little watching the election reels, but still many of those things discussed above were bothering me. Hope it is light at the end of the tunnel.
